The Moving Wall
came to Lake County
The Moving Wall is an opportunity to HONOR and RESPECT those veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice
through REMEMBERANCE and EDUCATION. These veterans are our brothers and sisters.
Lake County will also have the opportunity to experience the original intent of the "Wall" ---
to share and give. The Vietnam Veterans who built "The Moving Wall" in 1983-1984 had the goal of
sharing the feelings that they experienced at the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial
with veterans and citizens who cannot go to Washington D.C.
The "Moving Wall" was in Lake County from June 12th to June 15th, 2009.
The location of the Moving Wall was at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
